Walking Along the Dubrovnik Wall
The walled city of Dubrovnik, Croatia is located on the Adriatic Sea. Part of the charm of this old European city is walking along the top of Dubrovnik’s wall that circles its inner alleyways and courtyards. After circling the city on the wall and taking in the views of terracotta roofs and turquoise and deep blue waters, head back down into the city corridors to enjoy a leisure meal of seafood and wine.
There is a charge to walk the walls of 70 Kuna per adult (about $12), but for those views, I definitely consider it worth it. Also, be sure you know where the entrance is to ascend to the top of the wall so you don’t wander aimlessly around inside the Dubrovnik wall looking for it. (Though the inside of the walls has beautiful cobblestone and buildings and makes for lovely wandering.)
Have you walked on top of the Dubrovnik Wall? What was your favorite part of the city?

I wish! These pictures were taken a couple years ago. I hope to make it back to Croatia next summer though and visit the islands and Plitvice Lakes.
Hi Gina!
Loved this post as I just spent last week in Croatia!-with 3 nights in Dubrovnik (also visited Split and Hvar Isalnd). It was great although very hot at this time of year! I’m not sure if you remember me..I’m a friend of Tom’s from San Diego. I moved to Switzerland 3 years ago and am still living there. Congrats on the wedding! Julie was just here visiting and said she had a great weekend in SB at the wedding.
I really enjoy reading your posts about your travel experiences. Keep on writing!
All the best,
Vanessa
