Spring 2018 Outfit Ideas for Moms
Let’s start this season out with my favorite time of spring: Spring Break!
Spring Break as a mom is quite different from the Spring Break of my college days, but hey — it’s still warm weather and fun so worth getting dressed up for right?! Here are my favorite Spring Break outfits from my recent trip to Kauai, and ones that will carry you into summer.
Spring Break Mom Outfit #1: Striped Off-Shoulder Shirt with Denim Shorts
I wore this outfit on repeat in Kauai. It’s comfortable, easy to nurse in since the top pulls down easily, and even looks stylish under an Ergo!
I got the shorts from J.Crew Factory right before our trip and they’re still available — they’re comfortable and a great price!
As for that shirt, it is a Stitch Fix shirt from years ago. It has held up marvelously and I love that it still looks current. I found a few others that might work for this look, too:
I sometimes wear this shirt without a tanktop under it when not nursing, but I do not find strapless bras comfortable while nursing so wear a nursing tank underneath it right now.
Spring Break Mom Outfit #2: Striped Cotton Top with Coral Shorts
This is a laidback outfit for lunch or lounging on vacation.
The shirt is from Banana Republic and really comfortable. I love that it doesn’t fit to tightly on my belly (which is still definitely in postpartum form) and is soft SUPIMA cotton.

The coral shorts are also Banana Republic, but from a few years ago. Here are some similar ones:
I love wearing coral with nautical stripes so I think I’ll be getting lots of use out of this outfit back at home (if this rain in the PNW ever ends…).
And a bonus for travel — by bringing two similar looking shirts (navy striped), but in different silhouettes and fabrics, I can interchange them easily throughout my trip with the shorts.
Spring Break Mom Outfit #3: Off the Shoulder Maxi Dress
Every vacation needs a good maxi dress that flows off body curves well and is great for dancing. 🙂
My go-to striped maxi dress (have you caught on I like stripes?!) wasn’t fitting too well yet after having Vivi, so I got this pretty coral one on clearance from Evereve before my trip. If you’d like to try Evereve’s styles hassle-free, check out my article on its subscription service Trendsend (it’s like Stitch Fix, but for moms!). This one is by Socialite and is now sold out everywhere from what I could find, but here are some similar ones:
