Have any fun weekend plans? We were going to do a family outing to the pumpkin patch, but the stormy weather we’re having in Washington right now is making that plan look not so fun. Might be a better weekend for cuddling up with a good book (and then see how long my toddler lets me actually read it). I was going to start Emily Giffin’s latest book this weekend, but the gloomy weather is making me more in the mood for a thriller, reminiscent of Girl on the Train. Any suggestions?
Here are some of my favorite articles and other things I loved from the past week for your weekend reading and browsing…
If it ever stops raining long enough for us to make it the pumpkin patch, I want to wear this. (How fun is that contrasting chambray?)
If I was throwing an adult halloween party this year, and not a toddler-themed one, I would totally try this cool drink idea (except maybe for the dry ice part — that sounds complicated.)
I love when Adventurous Kate does creative posts like this one. It puts you right into the emotions of traveling, which in this case pertain to solo travel.
Turkfest is at the Seattle Center this weekend — learn about Turkey and eat some delicious food.
Did you know it’s Plan a Cruise month? Travel agencies often put together some great deals for it (as my team did back in my travel agency Marketing Director days…ah, work nostalgia) so this may be an ideal time to plan that cruise you’ve been dreaming about.
This Summer Did List in the Pacific Northwest will give you some great inspiration for things to start planning to do next summer (or for one of those rare sunny winter weekends).
I just finished this book and enjoyed it, though it wasn’t quite as suspenseful as I was expecting.
Have a great weekend!
