Charles Hotel Spa Pool in Munich

One of the best parts of the Charles Hotel in Munich is its onsite spa, the Charles Spa. Not only does it offer treatments like massages, facials, and wraps, the Charles Spa also has a relaxing pool area, which is kept warm as is the air in the room. The Charles Hotel spa pool is the largest indoor pool in Munich.

Upon entering the Charles Spa during my stay at the Charles Hotel, I took a seat on one of the lounge chairs facing the pool and immediately felt like I had been transplanted to a Caribbean beach despite the lack of sand or waves. I felt a world away from the bustling city life of Munich thanks to the peaceful environment of the Charles Hotel pool complete with red coral decorating the walls. The pool area also had a peaceful babbling brook sound.

Forget touring the city. Maybe I should just stay here all day…
I had dinner reservations at Broeding that night and didn’t want to fall asleep so I eventually dragged myself away from the pool to check out the sauna and steam room.
But first, I took a small detour for a quick lie down on these heated chairs.

The sauna and steam rooms are adjacent to the showers and a place to soak and pamper your feet – a welcome feature to the Charles Spa after a day of Munich sightseeing.

The sauna and steam rooms are mixed gender and are located next to large, luxurious showers for rinsing off afterward – or to give yourself a cold blast of water after the hot sauna and steam room to wake up your senses.
I walked through the shower and changing room and exited into a relaxation room, complete with refreshing cold tea and fruit.

It took all my willpower not to lay down on those chairs, too. Dinner awaited and thanks to my hour at the Charles Spa and pool, I felt revived after my day in Munich and ready to devour some food.
