Asheville, North Carolina

Where to Stay for Romance: Omni Grove Park Inn

Asheville’s beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain scenery, eclectic downtown, and wellness retreats make it one of the most romantic getaways you’ll find in the south.

Stay at the Omni Grove Park Inn, which has the largest subterranean spa in the area that will have you feel like you’re soaking in a hidden fortress. It’s seriously incredible.

Other spa-tastic and relaxing places to relax with your partner are the Asheville Salt Caves or the Shoji Spa & Retreat.

For a short but beautiful hike go to Craggy Gardens off the Blue Ridge Parkway. At the end of the day enjoy a pint at one of the many breweries downtown.

Charlottesville, Virginia

Though Charlottesville is a college town, the quaint streets, wineries, and outdoor activities make it a great couple’s getaway. Book a sumptuous room at the Inn at Court Square to be in the middle of the action.

Visit Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson. While there you can hold hands and walk among the gardens and tour the elaborate house and talk about your own dream home. Take a hike in nearby Shenandoah National Park if you need to walk off some of those wine calories. It’s also a beautiful spot to take in a romantic sunrise or sunset.

Nashville, Tennessee

Whether you are a country music fan or not, Nashville, Tennessee is easily one of the most romantic destinations in the south for couples.
